Rashod Richardson scored a go-ahead touchdown from 1-yard out with 28 seconds remaining and Timothy Saunders had a trio of touchdowns as Cypress Springs defeated Cypress Ranch 35-31 in a District 16-6A match to remain undefeated in its best start ever. After Richardson hauled in a 1-yard touchdown catch from Harrison Mass for the fourth lead change of the second half, Owen Cossette and Brendan Sadler connected on a 39-yarder, putting the Mustangs at the Cypress Springs 28-yard line before the Panther defense came through with back-to-back stops as Darrien Foreman picked off Cossette for the second time on a hail mary pass.
