A 48-acre property that was once the site of a popular Cypress gun range is going up for sale with an initial asking price of $8.5 million. The former Hot Wells Shooting Range site is situated along U.S. 290 between Barker Cypress Road and Fry Road. Within its borders are three lakes and an artesian spring. After the spring was discovered in 1904 by wildcatters, free-range oil well drillers, the site became home to a hotel that catered to those looking to reap health benefits from the geothermal waters.
